Niche providers have to deal with websites that really don’t want them there, so their proxies are often super optimized. This stands especially true for ISP proxy vendors, which don’t simply resell a major name but source IPs in-house.
HypeProxies is a well-known name in the niches it serves. But is this company worth your money – whether for specialized or general use? That’s what we’re here to find out!

HypeProxies started off in 2019 when the founder was still in college. The provider claims to have pioneered ISP proxies; this may not necessarily be accurate, but the product remains its main sell. Hype’s website also teases residential proxies, which weren’t launched yet when we wrote this review.
The main audience of HypeProxies were – and probably still are – scalpers of e-commerce items: sneakers, event tickets, and everything else that can be resold. Gunnar, the CEO, says he’s helped over 20,000 customers fetch items worth $100 million, which makes the business $3 million in annual revenue.
You wouldn’t say that looking at the company’s LinkedIn: in July 2025, it had only two employees. According to the founder, there are really 13 people working on the project, which makes it a focused but still capable operation.
Gunnar’s words are also backed by thousands of Discord members and a glowing Trustpilot rating. Unfortunately, we can’t really trust the latter: HypeProxies used to incentivize people with $10 to leave a review.
Like most specialized proxy sellers, Hype’s been trying to expand into the broader market. Still, mentions of sneakers and tickets permeate the website. The provider has further plans to “revolutionize web scraping” by launching a separate brand called Crawlbyte. In the meantime, it’d like to sell you some battle-hardened proxies.

Hype Proxy Networks
Hype’s main and only proxy product is ISP proxy servers. These are dedicated IPs where you pay per unit.
HypeProxies offers general-purpose as well as specialized plans: IPs for tickets or sneaker/retail websites. They’re not restricted to these target groups; for example, the sneaker proxies also support SEO, gaming, and other websites.
If you need even more control, HypeProxies lets you buy a private subnet.

The number of IPs you’ll get depends on your plan. Hype’s advertised stock comprises 250k proxy servers – a significant amount compared to even major providers like IPRoyal or Rayobyte.
However, the location coverage is skimpy: all proxies are physically hosted in Virginia and geolocated across the USA. It doesn’t seem possible to specify particular states or cities, so the the service isn’t suitable for localized tasks.

HypeProxies uses the classic format where you get different IPs with port numbers. Each IP represents a proxy server. The service is unlimited but also basic: there’s no rotation, only one authentication method, and restricted protocol support.

Hype’s pricing is subscription-based, with plans that renew automatically until cancelled.
The cheapest plan starts from $40 ($1.6/IP) for ticket proxies or $35 ($1.4/IP) for all other plans. The largest public package gives you a (nearly) full subnet with 254 IPs; its price ranges between $300 and $350, depending on which target group you’re after.
We consider Hype’s rates competitive. They cost less compared to general-purpose providers like Proxy-Seller or IPRoyal, and similarly to specialized providers like Bart or Ping proxies.
There’s a small trial to test the product. The provider states that it issues no refunds, but you can get one within three days after purchase if you meet the criteria.
📊 Performance Benchmarks
We last tested HypeProxies’ 100 US ISP proxies in June 2025. We received four packages with 25 IPs in each.
Basic analysis
The proxies came from four subnets. They were all located in the US and associated with major internet service providers: RCN, Frontier & AT&T. So far so good.

Our IP database identified all 100 proxies as residential. None of them had matching ASN and ISP data fields, but this is exceptionally rare with ISP proxies. The organizations which owned the IPs were all US based.

Hype’s ISP proxies were superb in our synthetic benchmarks. Over seven days, they had perfect uptime and the fastest response time we’ve seen thus far. It helps that our computer, the proxies, and the target were all located in Ashburn.

HypeProxies didn’t disappoint when opening popular websites. While our scale was small, we were able to scrape Amazon and Google with a 100% success rate. Great results.
How to Use HypeProxies
Registration
To register with HypeProxies, you’ll have to enter your full name, email, location (including postcode), and password. The form includes more fields, but they’re optional. The provider will ask you to verify your email address.
Alternatively, you can sign in with a Google account.
KYC & Usage Policies
As far as we know, there’s no KYC procedure – you can simply buy and use proxies. There’s also not much information about prohibited use cases – the help center only mentions that Hype Proxies monitors use and has the right to suspend users that abuse its proxies.
Come to think of it, we couldn’t find terms of service at all – there’re only privacy and refund policies on the website.
Dashboard
HypeProxies has a dashboard for managing subscriptions, downloading proxy lists, and getting help. In some ways, it can be surprisingly powerful; at the same time, it misses basic functionality like usage monitoring. The dashboard is available only in English.
The dashboard’s main page packs a lot of information. You’ll find a list of active services, your balance, support tickets, and even contact details with a profile picture taken from WordPress. You can explore further by opening the sections in the navigation bar.
We found it a little awkward that the latest news announcement came out in 2019. Also, it would be useful to see how much time each plan has left straight from the main page – now, you need to open them individually.
Hype’s dashboard includes wallet functionality: you can add funds and use them to pay for services without making separate transactions. For some reason, the maximum deposit is $250, and the wallet is able to hold up to $750 at once.
The dashboard lets you add billing details and a credit card to simplify future payments. There’s a page for downloadable invoices, and you can even view all the emails Hype Proxies has sent you to keep a paper trail.
One thing we found unclear was how to upgrade or downgrade a plan. It looks like this is done manually. Other than that, the payments part of the dashboard is fleshed out well.
The dashboard’s access features make HypeProxies seem more like an enterprise provider than a niche proxy vendor. The settings let you manage linked Google accounts and set up two-factor authentication. In addition, there’s team access functionality with 13 different permissions.
However, it feels like HypeProxies gave so much love to the features mentioned above that very little remained for the actual proxy setup. It’s as basic as it gets: you can copy a list of proxies and change the password. That’s it.
There’s no usage tracking to speak of. Even with unmetered plans, it’s very useful to know how many requests were made, how long they took, and how many succeeded. Without observability features, you’ll have to implement everything by yourself.
The provider at least includes a network status page. Even then, it doesn’t show any uptime stats, only incidents.
API Access
To the best of our knowledge, HypeProxies has no API for controlling its proxies programmatically.
Supporting Tools
HypeProxies has two proxy checkers: one online and one downloadable. The latter is only available on Windows.
Both display a lot of information about the the proxy server: its location, ISP, DNS & WebRTC leaks, detection status, fraud score, and even speed tests with Amazon, Google, and YouTube.
The online version is easier to use. However, it caps checks to five at once or 100 per day. In addition, they’re done from Hype’s servers rather than locally, which may not reflect the proxy’s performance on your device.
Documentation
HypeProxies has two knowledge bases. The main one is on the website – it answers some general questions relating to proxy specifications and billing, though a major topic is performance with e-commerce websites.
The second knowledge base can be found in the dashboard. Funnily enough, this resource contains only one article which explains why an order gets labeled as fraudulent.
All in all, we found the Hype’s documentation lacking. There were no implementation examples, and even basic questions like whether the service supports SOCKS5 remained unanswered.
Hands-On Support
HypeProxies advertises 24/7 customer service. The main channels are a ticketing system on the dashboard and Discord. We tried both during daytime in Europe.
Our dashboard ticket received responses in three to four hours. Discord took only nine minutes and was much better for back-and-forths. It also offered the option to get a transcript afterwards; however, this required logging into a third-party service.
Conclusion
Though it’d like you to think otherwise, HypeProxies very much remains a niche-oriented proxy server provider. But if you don’t mind some restrictions – and aren’t accessing localized content – its ISP proxies truly are among the best we’ve tried.
HypeProxies Alternatives
IPRoyal’s dedicated ISP proxies cover more countries, support state/city-level targeting, and have short-term plans. They’re more expensive, though.
Proxy-Seller also has many more locations to choose from, letting you buy as few as one IP. The performance may not be as good.
Webshare can offer you better protocol support, optional rotation, SOCKS5, and super cheap shared ISP IPs for web scraping.
