A domain, often called a domain name, is the web address you enter into your browser to reach your target website like proxyway.com. Domain names end with an extension such as .com, .org, or .net, known as the top-level domain (TLD).

A domain in networking refers to a particular area of control inside a network. For example, a domain in a Microsoft Windows network is a collection of resources and machines that are under one management account. The setup helps to organize user permissions, policies, and security settings across multiple devices.

In math, the domain of a function is a set of all input values the function can work with. In logic, it’s the group of things that variables stand for. While these aren’t very important in tech, they play a big role in their own fields.
