In the process, Byteful underwent a formal review, gaining EWDCI’s Trust Seal. The review evaluated the company on the grounds of legality, ethical proxy sourcing and user monitoring, interaction with other websites, and social responsibility.
EWDCI’s members include Oxylabs, Zyte, Kadoa, Rayobyte, and other well-known brands.
The Ethical Web Data Collection Initiative is part of the Internet Infrastructure Coalition, a self-proclaimed leading voice for web hosting, cloud infrastructure, and related tech. The i2Coalition also founded the VPN Trust Initiative to promote best practices in the VPN industry.
