Top Webshare alternatives

Webshare is the perfect choice for those interested in residential, datacenter, and ISP proxies. It is easy to use, affordable, and provides extremely powerful tools, especially for access management and usage tracking. However, you may find yourself looking for a proxy provider with, say,  more granular geolocation options. If so, take a look at this list of our top Webshare alternatives.

1. Decodo (ex Smartproxy)

One of the best residential proxy providers.

decodo logo black

Use the code DECODO5 to get 5% off all self-service products.

  • Proxy types: residential, ISP, datacenter, mobile
  • Locations: 195+ (resi & mobile), 18 (DC), 16 (ISP)
  • Targeting: country-level for DC & ISP; city & ASN level for residential
  • Rotation: Available with all proxy types
  • Support: award-winning 24/7 support
  • Extras: API, browser extension, extensive documentation
  • Pricing starts at:
    • Residential: $4.00 for 1 GB (PAYG)
    • Datacenter: $6/mo for 10GB ($0.6/GB) or $3.5/mo for 100 IP ($0.035/IP)
    • ISP: $3/mo for 1 GB or $4.7/mo for 10 IPs ($0.47/IP)
    • Mobile: $4.00/GB (PAYG)
  • Trial: 3-day trial, 14-day refund.

Decodo’s products are packaged in a way that strongly resembles Webshare: they lack some options but come at a similar price, and the DC and ISP pools are of similar sizes (in hundreds of thousands). Decodo does outmatch Webshare in residential IPs – over 115M vs. 80M.

Geo-targetingly speaking, ISP proxies are limited to around 16 locations. For the datacenter, it depends on the type: dedicated are US-only (a far cry from Webshare’s ~40), while shared get 18 locations.  The filtering options, down to ASN and US ZIP code for residential and mobile, are more granular than Webshare’s. All proxies offer rotation options and unlimited concurrency. What’s more, dedicated proxies – ISP and DC – benefit from free monthly refreshes. For integration, you can draw upon the API or a browser extension.

The pricing options are many, including pay-as-you-go, available for both residential and mobile proxies.  And if anything goes wrong, Decodo has extensive documentation while also providing award-winning 24/7 tech support.

2. Oxylabs

Premium alternative to Webshare.

  • Proxy types: residential, ISP, datacenter, mobile
  • Locations: 195+ (resi & mobile), 42 (DC), 18 (ISP)
  • Targeting: country-level for DC & ISP, with ASN selection for ISP; city & ASN level for residential
  • Rotation: Available with all proxy types
  • Support: live chat, email, dedicated account manager (for enterprise)
  • Extras: API, browser extension, Android app, extensive documentation
  • Pricing starts at:
    • Residential: $30/mo for 5 GB ($6/GB)
    • Datacenter: $11.80/mo for 20GB ($0.59/1GB) or $12/mo for 10 IP ($1.2/IP)
    • ISP: $16/mo for 10 IPs ($1.6/IP)
    • Mobile: $30/mo for 4 GB ($7.5/GB)
  • Trial: 7-day trial for enterprise customers, 3-day refund, 5 free US datacenter IPs with 5GB/mo

Oxylabs is a good choice for a Webshare alternative. One of the most prominent proxy providers in the field, it offers quality residential, ISP, datacenter, and mobile proxies in a variety of geographical locations. When it comes to PMR results, Oxylabs’ proxy pools are not only large but also performant, with a near 99.9% success rate.

In comparison to Webshare, Oxylabs offers UDP support and unlimited threads with dedicated ISP proxies. For dedicated datacenter ones, Oxylabs gets ahead with unlimited traffic and city-level filtering out of the box. As for extras, you have the API, and, for the more casual user, a browser extension and Android app to manage your proxies (even if they’re not Oxylabs’ own or you don’t even have a user account).

Furthermore, Oxylabs’ customer support showed itself to be better than Webshare’s. In addition, live chat and email are available for all – and unlike Webshare’s mix of chatbot and 24/5 support agents that reply within 24 hours, the wait time is around 2 minutes. Enterprise customers can enjoy dedicated account managers, too.

  • Pricing starts at:

    • Datacenter: $1.57/mo for 1 IP
    • Mobile: $10.11/IP (24 hours)

IPRoyal is doing great, as it has muscled itself in as a serious competitor among the greatest proxy providers. Here’s what makes it one of the top Webshare alternatives: more residential, ISP, and datacenter filtering options, non-expiring traffic for residential proxies, and mobile proxies.

What’s more, IPRoyal offers something highly customizable that Webshare service doesn’t: custom session duration and on-demand rotation for residential IPs. And, just like Decodo, this provider offers free monthly refreshes for dedicated proxies.

The service extras include a browser extension and a proxy checker. Tech support comes via live chat or email.

Bright Data isn’t just any proxy provider – it’s a veritable industry giant. So it would be weird if its large and high-quality proxy network didn’t make it one of the top Webshare alternatives. Because it absolutely is, outshining others in terms of datacenter and ISP proxy geolocation options.

For Webshare specifically, it offers five times the residential proxies (400M vs 80M), as well as more than two times the geolocation options for dedicated ISP and datacenter proxies. Plus, its residential proxies come with ASN, OS, and protocol filtering from the get-go.

Bright Data’s proxies can be managed via a proxy manager app (available on Windows and macOS), providing proxy access controls, allowlisting/blocklisting, tracking success rates, and requests. On the more conventional side, API and browser extensions are also on offer. There are plenty of support options on the menu as well, including Telegram and phone.

One big downside needs mentioning, however: Bright Data only deals with enterprise customers.
